Autocraft Become First Bodyshop in the UK to Receive New BSI Recommendation

The BS10125:2022 is the latest British Standard for vehicle body repair and paintwork. It provides a framework for safe and effective repair of damaged vehicles, ensuring that they are returned to their pre-accident condition in terms of appearance and function. The standard covers all aspects of the repair process, from initial assessment and estimation to final inspection and quality control.

Achieving the BS10125:2022 recommendation is no small feat. It requires a Bodyshop to demonstrate that it has the necessary skills, equipment and processes in place to carry out repairs to the highest standard. The process involves a rigorous assessment of the Bodyshops facilities, staff training, and quality management system as well as a review of its repair procedures and documentation.

We at Autocraft Telford have been working towards the new standard for some time, and the recent surveillance visit by Matt Jones from BSI was the culmination of this effort. With the help and assistance of our consultant partner, Phil Travis, we were able to to demonstrate compliance with the BS10125:2022 requirements, earning a positive recommendation from BSI.

Achieving this within four days of the standards approval is a testament to our commitment to quality and determination to be at the forefront of the industry. It is also a tribute to the expertise and professionalism of our staff, who have worked hard to meet the stringent requirements of the new standard.
